Madie Backus is the Human Resources Substitute Services Support Analyst for the Puyallup School District. She has been working in School District HR and with substitutes for the last five years and has been serving in her current role since August 2023. Madie has a passion for working with people and being a leader who is involved in the daily work and helping create solutions to improve processes and procedures. She finds great joy in working with substitutes, appreciating their dedication and flexibility. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking in the beautiful Pacific Northwest and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.
