Karen L. Sandone, MSHR, PHR, assumed her role as the Director of Human Resources in 2016 at the Bucks County Intermediate Unit (Bucks IU) located in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. Ms. Sandone is responsible for providing day-to-day leadership to the organization’s Human Resources team of fifteen (15) staff members and serves as a member of the Bucks IU Cabinet. She oversees areas including employee relations including union contract negotiations and management, Human Resources operations, Human Resources Management System (HRMS) talent acquisition & retention, organizational & performance management, onboarding and offboarding credentialing & compliance, compensation, benefits, and contractor management. In addition, she serves as a lead Human Resources Business Partner to the organization’s leadership team and thirteen (10) Bucks County school district administrators and three (3) Bucks County Technology Schools. Ms. Sandone has assumed the role as Chair of the Worker’s Compensation Committee, and she is a member of the Executive Board for the School Districts Insurance Consortium (SDIC).
